Job Overview
We are seeking a bilingual (English and Mandarin) Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement and supply chain operations. This role involves collaborating with vendors, managing purchasing processes, and ensuring seamless integration within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of experience in sourcing and coordinating with vendors for efficient procurement activities that align with company goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers through effective vendor management and negotiation strategies
- Process purchase orders with accuracy and timely execution
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and coordinate purchasing activities accordingly
- Monitor pricing trends and evaluate supplier proposals to optimize costs without compromising quality
- Manage procurement documentation and maintain accurate records of transactions
- Support the implementation of ERP system to ensure inventory levels meet production demands
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to streamline procurement workflows and improve overall efficiency
- Communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin to facilitate negotiations and vendor relationships
Experience
- Some Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with processing purchase orders and managing inventory data
- Strong understanding of vendor management, sourcing strategies, and pricing negotiations
- Experience working with MRP systems and supply chain processes is highly desirable
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required to effectively communicate with international vendors and internal teams
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and procurement best practices will be an advantage
