An exciting opportunity is available for *2* Permanent Full Time Nurse Practitioners in Northumberland County,with the Northumberland Family Health Team (NFHT). Nurse Practitioners (NP) are valued members of our team, diagnosing and treating people of all ages. The NP, acting as the Most Responsible Provider (MRP) for a roster of patients, will provide comprehensive medical care, education and coordination of care for people experiencing a spectrum of medical issues across the lifespan, from new life events to episodic illness to chronic disease. The Nurse Practitioner, and their patients, will be supported by our growing interprofessional team/programs. Requirements
- Current registration (or eligible for registration) with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Nurse Practitioner – Primary Health Care (NP-PHC)
- Graduate of a recognized Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current membership with RNAO/NPAO, including professional liability insurance program
- Basic CPR certification
- Current Ontario Drivers’ License
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and nurture positive working relationships both within and outside of NFHT

- Experience in community and/or primary care medicine
- Proficient computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)

Pay: $122,000.00-$127,000.00 per year
