Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and licensed Refrigeration HVAC Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems across various commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. The technician will ensure systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration units, HVAC systems, boilers, and related mechanical equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems and implement solutions.
- Perform plumbing, welding, and construction tasks as needed during system installations or repairs.
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and thermostats.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and system performance for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with appliance repair tasks related to refrigeration units or HVAC equipment when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid refrigeration license or HVAC technician certification is required. 313D or 313A license
- Proven experience in HVAC repair, refrigeration systems, boiler operation, plumbing, welding, or mechanical maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Experience with appliance repair and construction work is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Must be able to pass a background check
Pay: $30.00-$48.00 per hour
