About the Role
We are seeking an engaging and experienced Instructor to join our NACC-accredited Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) program. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about mentoring future childcare professionals and bringing real-world experience into the classroom. You will deliver interactive, practical instruction in areas such as child development, health and safety, and play-based learning, helping students build the skills and confidence needed for success in the field.
Program Delivery Schedule
The instructor must be available to teach in one or both of the following schedules:
Morning / Weekday Cohort
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Evening / Weekend Cohort
- Wednesday: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Thursday & Friday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction in classroom and/or hybrid formats
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with NACC curriculum standards
- Assess student progress through assignments, evaluations, and exams
- Maintain accurate academic records in compliance with PARIS requirements
- Provide mentorship and academic support to students
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in curriculum development and faculty meetings
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Early Childhood Educator in Canada
- Previous teaching or training experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and student assessment
- Familiarity with NACC standards and expectations

Regulatory Requirement
- Must meet instructor qualifications under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005
- Must be available to teach in a hybrid format at the Scarborough campus
Assets
- Experience with online learning platforms (e.g., Google Classroom)
- Knowledge of Ontario childcare regulations and frameworks
- Experience with accreditation processes or ministry inspections

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
