Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our growing team on our afternoon shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components for customers in the aerospace, defence, and industrial sectors.
This position is ideal for a motivated machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality work, maintaining tight tolerances, and contributing to a team-focused manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes efficiently and accurately.
- Program and edit CNC programs using Mastercam and Fanuc controls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and CAD models.
- Select tooling and establish machining processes to meet quality and production requirements.
- Set up and calibrate equipment using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as required.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain equipment in good working condition.
- Assist with assembly and other production-related activities as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
- Experience operating CNC milling machines and/or CNC lathes.
- Strong CNC programming skills with Fanuc controls.
- Proficiency with Mastercam and CAD software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment and performing quality inspections.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift experience is considered an asset.

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
