Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Supervisor to lead our team in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure excellent customer service. This role requires a proactive individual capable of handling multiple responsibilities, including team management, sales oversight, and operational efficiency. Bilingual skills and prior retail management experience are highly valued to support diverse customer needs and team coordination.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations during assigned shifts to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to company policies.
- Supervise and motivate team members, providing training, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance performance.
- Manage merchandising activities, including pricing, product placement, and inventory control to maximize sales.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained.
- Conduct recruiting efforts for new staff, participate in interviewing candidates, and assist with onboarding processes.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, cashiering activities, and POS transactions with accuracy and integrity.
- Monitor sales performance, implement sales strategies, and support marketing initiatives to meet store targets.
- Maintain administrative records including payroll processing, bookkeeping, and scheduling.
- Assist with purchasing decisions and inventory management to optimize stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Lead team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training sessions for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising or managerial experience in retail or related fields.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in negotiation, sales management, merchandising, and store management principles.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
- Skilled in POS systems, cash handling procedures, pricing strategies, and marketing techniques.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability in training & development, team management, and customer service excellence.
