Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills in food service, hospitality, and customer relations within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries promptly and courteously, providing excellent guest services
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations throughout shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation guidelines diligently
- Basic math skills for order accuracy and cash handling
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, food safety, and food handling practices
- Kitchen experience or hospitality background is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
