The Opportunity
We’re a growing Genie Senior Services franchise serving the GTA and Barrie, and we’re looking for reliable, detail-oriented team members to join our packing team. We are a senior transition services that helps elderly clients pack, move, unpack and set-up their new homes.
This role starts part-time, with strong potential to grow into full-time as we expand.
Compensation
- $20–$25/hour (based on experience)

What You’ll Do
- Carefully pack household items (kitchenware, clothing, décor, etc.)
- Label and organize boxes for efficient moving and unpacking
- Unpack and organize items in clients’ new homes
- Help set up spaces so they feel comfortable and familiar
- Work closely with a small team to complete jobs efficiently
- Provide a respectful and supportive experience for clients and families
What We’re Looking For
- Previous packing, moving, or hands-on experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Careful handling of fragile and sentimental items
- Friendly, patient, and professional with clients
- Reliable and punctual
- Team-oriented mindset
Requirements
- Must be eligible to complete a police background check
- Ability to travel within the GTA for jobs
- Ability to lift and move light boxes as needed
- Willingness to learn and follow a structured process
Bonus (Nice to Have)
- Experience with packing, organizing, or similar hands-on work
- Experience with basic handyman or setup tasks (e.g., hanging pictures, assembling furniture)
- Strong organizational or home setup skills
Work Details
- Location: GTA (Aurora, Newmarket, Markham, Barrie and surrounding areas)
- Equipment is currently stored in Barrie, where team members can park their personal vehicles, with flexibility to meet at other agreed-upon locations across the GTA
- Schedule: Primarily weekdays, occasional weekends
- Hours: Part-time to start, with opportunity to grow into full-time
