Who This Role Is For
This is not an entry-level, clock-in/clock-out position.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, moves with urgency, and wants to grow with a company that’s scaling. The right person is equally comfortable in the shop and talking with customers—someone who can produce, sell, and think.
If you naturally take ownership, look for better ways to do things, and enjoy helping customers move forward on their projects, you’ll do well here.
Responsibilities
- Mill, flatten, and prepare hardwood slabs and dimensional lumber to a high standard
- Execute glue-ups and assist in building table tops and panels
- Maintain an efficient, clean, and organized shop
- Work directly with customers—understand their needs and guide them to the right materials
- Sell lumber, table tops, and custom products with confidence
- Quote jobs accurately and communicate value clearly
- Help customers move forward on projects (not just answer questions—drive decisions)
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, output, and customer experience
- Take initiative in day-to-day operations without needing constant direction
Qualifications
- Experience in woodworking or a hands-on trade
- Strong understanding of hardwoods and milling processes
- Comfortable in a customer-facing role with a sales mindset
- Ability to quote work and think in terms of value and efficiency
- High attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable
- Physically capable of handling lumber and working on your feet
