Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Front Desk / Certified Lifeguard to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring a welcoming, organized, and safe environment for all guests. The successful candidate will primarily perform front desk and customer service duties, with Certified Lifeguard responsibilities being required for emergency response purposes only.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, is highly organized, and is committed to providing outstanding guest experiences while maintaining a safe facility.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests with a warm, welcoming, and professional attitude.
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes using the facility's POS system.
- Handle cash transactions, payments, and billing accurately.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about swim lessons, programs, memberships, and facility services.
- Assist families with swim lesson registrations, scheduling, class placements, and general program inquiries.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the swim school by communicating schedules, policies, and program updates to participants and parents.
- Maintain accurate guest records and front desk documentation.
- Keep the front desk, lobby, and reception area clean, organized, and presentable.
- Monitor the facility to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Respond to emergencies in accordance with Certified Lifeguard training and facility emergency action plans.
- Perform Certified Lifeguard duties only when emergency situations arise; routine lifeguard surveillance or rotation is not a primary responsibility of this position unless otherwise assigned.
- Administer First Aid and CPR/AED when required and complete all necessary incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding guest concerns, incidents, or operational needs.
- Perform other front desk and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current Certified Lifeguard certification required.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
- Previous experience in a front desk, customer service, hospitality, recreation, and swim school environment preferred.
- Experience working with swim schools, swim lesson administration, or aquatic programming is considered a strong asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with children, parents, and guests.
- Comfortable using POS systems, computers, and standard office software.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during emergencies.
- Professional appearance and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Bilingual abilities are considered an asset.
Pay: $17.75-$20.00 per hour
