The Opportunity:
Our members are the heartbeat of Edmonton's business community, and you'll be the person they know by name.
This is not a back-office coordinator role. The Member Experience Coordinator is the front line of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce: the first call a new member receives, the familiar face at our events, and the connector who makes sure every member from a two-person startup to a national employer gets real value from their membership.
It takes a rare combination to do this well. You need genuine people skills; warmth, confidence, and the ability to build trust with business leaders paired with serious organizational discipline behind the scenes. If you can work a room and run a flawless CRM, this role was written for you.
What You’ll Own:
Member Onboarding & Engagement
- Run new member onboarding sessions and welcome campaigns that make a great first impression.
- Proactively reach out to new and existing members so they understand — and use — the full value of their membership.
- Drive retention through relationship building, not just renewal reminders.
- Be the go-to contact for member inquiries, connecting people quickly to the right Chamber resources.
- Spot opportunities to deepen member participation and act on them.
Member Visibility & Success Stories
- Coordinate member-led programs and initiatives, including site visits with member businesses.
- Help capture and share member success stories, testimonials, and promotional content.
- Champion monthly new-member welcome campaigns and social media recognition.
Events & Member Experience
- Deliver a polished guest experience at Chamber events, from registration to follow-up.
- Connect members to the right events, networking opportunities, and each other.
- Facilitate member introductions and collaboration where you see a fit.
Communications & Administration
- Keep member records accurate and current in the CRM — the engine behind everything we do.
- Contribute membership content for newsletters and member communications.
- Track participation and engagement metrics, and support membership reporting.
- Maintain SharePoint files, documentation, and team resources.
Team Support
- Support membership growth campaigns, special projects, and outreach to prospective members.
- Collaborate across Membership, Events, Communications, and Policy teams to deliver one consistent member experience.
