Hopewell Support Services is a dedicated not-for-profit registered charity established in 1983 by John and Johanna Oosterhuis in Ariss, Ontario. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, Hopewell is committed to providing high-quality personal care for children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities and complex needs. We also offer essential support for their families. Our exceptional staff and reputation for extraordinary care have enabled us to expand to seven locations, positively impacting over 500 families throughout Wellington County.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our dynamic team. As an RPN at Hopewell, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and complex needs. Your dedication will contribute to our mission of enhancing the quality of life for those we serve and their families.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities and complex needs.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.

Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate team members.

Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and family members.

Offer emotional support and guidance to individuals and their families.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.

Ensure adherence to Hopewell’s policies, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:

Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution.

Experience in providing nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities and complex needs is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and team members.

Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to delivering high-quality care.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

Full G Drivers License.
