Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Yard & Small Engine Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and performing basic mechanical work on small engines and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the equipment yard
- Receive, move, and stage equipment for sales and service departments
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment for customers and deliveries
- Perform basic inspection, setup, and maintenance on equipment
- Diagnose and repair small engines (lawn equipment, compact machines, etc.)
- Support the service department with general shop tasks as needed
- Ensure equipment is ready for display and delivery
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude or experience with small engines
- Experience operating tractors, forklifts, or agricultural equipment is an asset
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
