The Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness Society (ACEH), in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (MSDPR), is seeking a Community Integration Specialist to join our team in Victoria, BC.
Based within ACEH, the Community Integration Specialist works collaboratively across our culturally supportive housing sites and community-based programs to build meaningful relationships within the Indigenous community. This role supports Indigenous people who may be experiencing or at risk of homelessness, mental health and substance use challenges, or barriers to accessing services. Working from a culturally safe, trauma-informed, and relationship-based approach, the Community Integration Specialist connects people with Ministry programs and community resources, advocates alongside them, and supports their housing stability, wellness, and self-determined goals.
This unique position provides support across ACEH's four culturally supportive housing sites—Kwum Kwum Lelum (House of Courage), Speqéutx (SPAKEN), Xexe Pahlatsis'lelum (Sacred Cradle House), and Youth House—as well as our Outreach, CAIS, Land-Based Healing, and YEK'AUTW (Justice) programs.
This recruitment is being conducted by the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction in partnership with ACEH. We are excited to welcome a Community Integration Specialist who shares our commitment to cultural safety, equity, and supporting Indigenous people living away from home.
Our Mission
To lovingly provide culturally supportive, affordable housing and services that end Indigenous homelessness on Vancouver Island.
Our Vision
Our way is to care for all our people, from the youngest to the oldest. We are all one. Some of our people living away from home are suffering, isolated, and homeless. We stand together to end homelessness.
