Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes through various horticultural and construction activities. This role requires a strong understanding of landscape maintenance, gardening, and construction techniques, along with mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain equipment effectively. The Landscape Technician will play a vital role in ensuring our clients' outdoor spaces are healthy, beautiful, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor environments
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for landscaping projects and site preparation
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscapes
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for planting, edging, and other landscaping activities
- Conduct gardening tasks such as soil preparation, fertilization, and pest control
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape design, including setting foundations or building features
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation of tools and machinery
- Follow safety protocols during all operations to maintain a safe work environment
Experience
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair is advantageous
- Familiarity with gardening practices, plant care, and horticultural principles
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining power tools and construction equipment such as excavators
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and construction materials is beneficial
- Background in landscaping or related construction fields is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials or equipment as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
