Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child and Youth Care Worker to support children and young individuals for the summer in a nurturing and structured environment. Duties
- Provide direct care and supervision for children and youth in various settings, ensuring their safety at all times
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote emotional, social, and developmental growth
- Assist with daily activities such as meal times, recreational activities, educational support, and personal hygiene
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their specific needs and abilities
- Foster positive relationships through teaching life skills, conflict resolution, and effective communication
- Monitor behavior and provide guidance to encourage positive interactions among peers
- Collaborate with families, teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress, incidents, and daily activities
Requirements
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of child development principles and teaching strategies
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain patient, flexible, and attentive in dynamic environments
- Prior experience in caregiving or related fields is advantageous
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented setting
- Must meet any background check or certification requirements relevant to the position

Pay: $21.89-$22.89 per hour
