Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing customer interactions, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and bartenders
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety and handling standards
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Assist with food preparation and cooking when necessary to support kitchen operations
- Monitor service quality to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction
- Conduct interviewing and hiring of new team members; oversee training and onboarding processes
- Enforce restaurant policies, procedures, and health regulations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper food storage practices
- Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly to maintain positive relationships
- Lead team management efforts to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety and handling protocols
- Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality operations
- Familiarity with Micros POS or similar cash handling systems
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Experience in restaurant management, including interviewing, training, and performance management
- Kitchen experience or barista experience is a plus for supporting various operational needs
- Previous hotel or bar experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
