Overview
We are seeking a skilled Shingle Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various roofing techniques and construction practices. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and safety on the job site. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings.
Duties
- Install roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, metal, and underlayment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform inspections to identify issues with existing roofs and recommend repairs or replacements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site activities to ensure efficient workflow.
- Conduct heavy lifting and maneuvering of materials safely on-site.
- Apply caulking and other sealants to ensure waterproofing of roofs.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively are an asset
- Previous construction site experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of roof maintenance procedures is an asset
