Job Introduction
- Direct the daily engineering activities for the advanced engineering, current engineering and quoting activities.
Major Responsibilities
- Able to direct the day to day activities of engineering department associates to ensure effectiveness and timeliness
- Processing and reviewing quotes for new business and engineering changes Interact effectively with customers and suppliers
- Review proposed processes for tools, checking fixtures and weld lines ensuring that customer quality requirements are maintained while achieving quoted cycle times
- Ensure all customer dates for new programs and engineering changes are met
- Mentor engineering staff to ensure proper development within their given disciplines

- Enforce company and safety rules, document violations and propose necessary disciplinary actions

- Be involved in accident/incident investigation programs
- Ensure that new employees are trained on department hazards and safe operation of equipment
- Correct or commend health and safety performance
- Conduct performance appraisals for workers’ safety performance
- Commitment to continuous improvement and work place safety
- Work within the guidelines of the Employee Handbook Any other requests deemed reasonable by Automotive management
Knowledge and Education
- Engineering Degree - focus in mechanical engineering preferred
- Extensive knowledge in the processing of tools, dies and integrated flexible assembly cells in the production Stamping, CNC Bending, Hydroforming, Laser, CNC Machining, E Coating, Steel and Aluminum Assembly
Work Experience
- 7 to 10 years work related experience
- Experience working for in a Tier 1 automotive company

Pay: $120,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
