Ecoland is hiring an experienced AZ Float Driver to move construction and landscape equipment, machinery, and materials to and from active job sites across Ontario.
This is not a long-haul freight position. This is a daily site-support role focused on equipment and material movement between yards, suppliers, and job sites.
We are looking for someone with proven experience hauling heavy equipment, oversized loads, and construction or landscape materials, with strong load securement skills and confidence working in active yard and jobsite environments.

Responsibilities
- Transport construction and landscape equipment, machinery, and materials safely and efficiently
- Operate float, flatbed, and trailer combinations
- Load and unload equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, loaders, and similar jobsite machinery
- Secure loads properly using chains, binders, straps, tarps, and other approved methods
- Handle oversized and heavy loads in compliance with Ontario transportation regulations
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery paperwork, and safety documentation
- Coordinate with management, yard staff, suppliers, and site supervisors
- Support daily site operations through timely equipment and material movement
- Keep company truck, trailer, and work area clean and well maintained
Requirements
- Valid AZ Licence
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Minimum 3 years of verified AZ driving experience
- Proven experience with float and flatbed trailers
- Proven experience hauling construction or landscape equipment and materials
- Strong knowledge of load securement, including chains, binders, straps, and tie-down practices
- Strong understanding of Ontario transport regulations, inspections, and logbook requirements
- Confident with backing, maneuvering, loading, and unloading in yard and jobsite environments
- Physically capable of handling the demands of the role
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Professional attitude with strong communication skills
Strong assets
- Experience hauling skid steers, excavators, compactors, loaders, paving equipment, or landscape equipment
- Experience with oversized or permit loads
- Experience in construction, landscaping, paving, or heavy civil environments
