Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Front Office Clerk to oversee the front desk operations of our Long Term Care home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest services and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, and a strong background in organizational management. This role will also be involved in accounts recivable/payable and need accounting experience. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly valued to assist a diverse guest population. The Front Office Clerk plays a vital role in creating a positive first impression and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage multi-line phone systems, handle guest inquiries, and issues with professionalism
- Provide outstanding guest services by addressing needs promptly and courteously
- Oversee administrative tasks such as billing, administration, and maintaining staff records
- Ensure adherence to home policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Train new staff on phone etiquette, customer service protocols, and front desk operations
- Resolve inner office complaints or issues effectively to ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate seamless operations
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and ensure compliance with safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in front desk or office management roles
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred
- Proficiency with multi-line phone systems and reservation software
- Knowledge of LTC/Retirement home operations, guest services, and health industry standards
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
- Exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with accounts, preferably with SAGE software
