The Octave Music Centre is seeking a dedicated and passionate Piano/Voice Teacher to join our team!
This is a contract position. You set your hours for teaching, and we sign up students for you as they register. Please be aware that to start you will have no students and it may take time to build your student base, but we get new registrations frequently. We often have teachers start with a smaller availability and as they build up their student base, open up more teaching time as they fill up.
Duties
- Provide music lessons tailored to students’ individual needs
- Monitor and assess student progress
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to support student development and address any concerns
- Teach in a private 1-on-1 studio with children and adults
- Maintain accurate attendance records
Requirements
- 1-3 years teaching experience
- College/university degree preferred but not required
- Ability to teach another instrument a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, and parents
- Must be available on Saturdays
- Works well in a 1-on-1 setting with both children and adults
- Must be fluent in English
