About Ray's Music:
Ray's Music is a locally owned music store serving Kimberley and the East Kootenay region since 2002. We provide musical instrument sales, rentals, lessons, recording and rehearsal services, and professional sound support for community events.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a friendly and reliable individual to join our team this summer. This position offers hands-on experience in customer service, retail sales, inventory management, and audio equipment rentals in a community-focused music store.
No previous music experience is required. Training will be provided, and an interest in music is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers
- Answer questions and help customers find products that meet their needs
- Process sales, rentals, returns, and exchanges
- Restock merchandise and organize displays
- Label and price products
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization
- Prepare rental equipment for customer pickup
- Demonstrate basic setup of speakers, microphones, mixers, and cables
- Answer phones and assist with customer inquiries
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
Qualifications:
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Willingness to learn
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Interest in music or audio equipment is an asset but not required
