Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Assistants to provide high-quality in-home care for a client with diverse needs. This role involves working with another staff to ensure the client's am and pm needs are met. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or senior care, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on clients’ daily lives. This person must also be a responsible team player who is able to work with others to complete assigned task.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities to support AM and PM care
- AM for 1 hour - starting between 7:15 - 8:15am
- PM for 1 hour - starting between 7:30 - 8:30pm
- Administer medications accurately and on schedule according to care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Support clients with mobility through heavy lifting when necessary and safe
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to family members
- Follow all safety protocols and care procedures to ensure client safety at all times
Qualification
- Valid CPR and Police check required
- Knowledge of patient care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Strong caregiving skills coupled with compassion and patience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and empathy
This role would be to assist another staff with AM and PM care - it is vital for supporting individual in their homes by providing compassionate, professional care tailored to their unique needs. We value dedicated caregivers committed to improving the lives of those they serve.
Pay: $38.46 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 – 20.0 per week
