Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This dual-role position requires a motivated individual who can efficiently manage front desk responsibilities while supporting clinical operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental office procedures and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally
- Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Assist dental providers during procedures as a Dental Assistant, including sterilization and preparation of instruments
- Educate patients on treatment plans and post-treatment care instructions
- Manage front desk operations efficiently to ensure smooth daily workflow
- Support billing and insurance processing as needed
Qualifications
- HARP certified
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Paradigm
- Experience with electronic medical records systems and office administration
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and administrative tasks is a plus
- Previous experience working with front desk operations in medical or dental offices is advantageous
