This summer at Hale Muskoka, we’re excited to showcase a curated collection of cottage-season favourites — from charcuterie and pantry staples to ready-to-serve entertaining products and beverages.
We are hiring for multiple specialty cabins:
- Liquor Cabin
- Ready-Made Food Cabin
- Grocery/Charcuterie Cabin
- Fish & Meat Cabin
Schedule
- Retail Booths: Thursday–Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Liquor Booth: Friday–Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to promote brand awareness and product offerings through friendly and professional interactions
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to educate customers and encourage purchases
- Assist customers with product selection, upselling, and cross-selling to maximize sales opportunities
- Learning about our products and confidently sharing recommendations with customers
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring product availability on the sales floor
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Utilize communication skills to effectively convey product benefits and brand messaging
- Manage time efficiently to ensure coverage during scheduled shifts and meet sales goals
- Uphold phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries via phone or online platforms
- Support inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and organizing back-stock
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail sales, merchandising, or sales is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and professionally
- Smart Serve certification required for liquor cabin position
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills for managing displays, stock levels, and time management during shifts
- Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to perform product demos confidently while explaining product features clearly
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance sales performance
- Reliable with good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Food Handlers Certification is a plus
