- Answer phone calls, handle reservations, and respond to guest inquiries
- Maintain the reservation system and communicate updates to the team
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining areas
- Assist with setting and clearing tables as needed
- Support restaurant operations, including stocking supplies and maintaining presentation standards
- Address guest concerns or complaints calmly and professionally, escalating as required
- Maintain awareness of menus, pricing, promotions, and daily specials
- Follow all company service standards, policies, and procedures
- Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions
- Minimum 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 kg (70 lbs) (as required for job duties)
- Smart Serve Certification required or willingness to obtain
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable
- Report hazards, incidents, or injuries promptly
- Follow safe work practices and company safety policies
- Fast-paced restaurant environment
- Frequent standing, walking, and light to moderate physical activity
- Interaction with guests, staff, and management
- May involve assisting with light cleaning, lifting, and stocking
