We are looking for an optimistic and energetic surveyor for civil construction to join our dynamic team. This position will support our Lead Estimator in preparing estimates and managing various types of civil construction site layouts.
As the successful candidate, you will be a highly motivated individual who thrives in a team environment.
The scope of your responsibilities:
- You will take cut and fill take-off measurements using various computer programs such as Trimble Business Center;
- You will build 3D machine control files using Trimble Business Center;
- You will complete site calibrations;
- You will conduct site/construction layout surveys;
- And you will measure cut and fill quantities on construction sites.
Characteristics of our ideal candidate:
- You hold yourself to a high level of accountability and will challenge the status quo
- You have demonstrated experience or an aptitude for learning civil construction;
- You have good verbal and written communication skills
- You will be relational with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships with site crews, suppliers and subcontractors;
- You have excellent computer skills including MS Office and Excel; as well as some experience with drafting programs;
- You are able to read site plans;
- And, you hold a valid class 5 driver’s license.
