Job Summary
The Royal Canadian Air Force Association - 602 Lynx Wing is looking for another leader to add to our team! The ideal candidate will have both bar and supervisor experience, and be eager to be involved with our community and watch it grow!
Duties
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to create an inviting atmosphere
- Handle rental inquires and bookings over the phone and in person, encourage upsells on the rentals and follow up with them as needed
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS to accurately process orders and payments
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Ensure all food safety and food handling standards are strictly followed to maintain cleanliness and compliance
- Keep track of inventory and order supplies when needed
- Monitor the building for cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout your shift
- Delegate tasks to other staff as needed
- Create and manage schedule, filling rental shifts as needed with staff
- Act as primary communication link between staff and board members
- Assist with revitalizing the hall through memberships and event planning/social media ideas
- Providing feedback to staff members as needed
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Ability to diffuse situations with upset clients in polite and respectful way
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Effective serving skills combined with hospitality expertise to enhance guest satisfaction
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ideally previous experience working in leadership in bars, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
