Position Details
Providing individualized, needs-based, therapeutic respite care for children and youth who are neurodiverse (ie. Autism, ADHD), and/or dealing with mental health challenges.
This role will does not have a set number of hours.

In collaboration with the Program Manager develop and implement personalized respite plans, that have clients engaging in a variety of educational, recreational, and social services tailored to each child's needs and those of the family.

Assisting clients with activities of daily living and maintaining daily communication with families and Program Manager.

Provides home, centre, and community respite support for clients ages approximately 2 to 17 years of age).

Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma and enrolment in a clinically oriented social sciences post-secondary program, such as Child and Youth Worker or Behavioural Science Program, or other related discipline (e.g. Behavioural Psychology, Social Service Worker, ECE)

A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (FA/CPR), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), an asset.

Ability to follow

French Language proficiency, written and verbal, an asset.
