What You'll Do:
Reporting directly to the Turf Maintenance Crew Leader, you will:
- Perform turf maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, and maintaining lawns to Rockscape’s high standards.
- Apply herbicides, fertilizers, and other turf management products safely and effectively in accordance with your Landscape Exterminator License.
- Assist the Crew Leader and collaborate with other divisions to ensure smooth project execution.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and spray equipment.
- Support the team in achieving goals while upholding Rockscape’s Core Values: honesty, respect, dependability, creativity, and forward thinking.
- Represent Rockscape professionally with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and the community.
- Follow all safety protocols and comply with company procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For:
- Must hold a valid Landscape Exterminator License.
- Experience with turf maintenance practices, mowing techniques, and spray applications.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on quality and professionalism.
- Completion of required safety training (once hired).
Work Schedule:
- Season runs mid-April to mid-November, weather permitting.
- Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work available.
- Approximately 50 hours per week during peak season.
- Daily start time: 7:00am at our Bracebridge shop. Typical day ends around 5:30pm.
