Qualifications

Summary of Primary Job Functions·

Working as a member of a team, to providing quality child care experiences for the children and their parents.
Commitment to Professional Development and sharing knowledge with the rest of the team
To interact with the children in ways that promotes self-confidence, language skills, curiosity, and a desire to learn.
To carry out physical routines to meet the needs of each child. These opportunities are used to enhance all aspects of the child’s development.
To use appropriate safety and hygiene practices as outlined in Centre Policy Manual.
To complete all necessary forms (i.e., time sheets, accident and incident records) accurately and in a timely fashion.
To maintain records on each child and to share this information with the parents when appropriate.
To be knowledgeable of and carry out the standards in the Day Care Regulation and Day Care Licensing Policy Manual.
To build and maintain relationships with children and adults based on openness, genuine caring, and trust.
To be knowledgeable and understand the safety policy and procedures and to maintain a safe environment for the children.

Working Conditions & Hours

Split Shifts: Commonly involves working early mornings (e.g., 6:00–9:00 AM) and afternoons (e.g., 2:30–6:00 PM).
Flexibility: Full-time hours are typically available during Professional Development (PD) days, summer, and school holidays.
Physical Activity: Requires walking, bending, and standing, with the ability to actively participate in children's activities

Expected start date: As soon as possible

Salary: $38,408.00-$65,371.00 per year

Pay: $17.00-$26.46 per hour
