Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Roofing Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and supporting project planning and execution. This role requires strong skills in construction estimating, project management, and negotiation, with a focus on delivering precise and competitive bids for roofing projects. The Roofing Estimator will collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success from initial proposal through completion.
Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive roofing estimates
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather necessary data for estimation
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to negotiate pricing and scope of work
- Prepare detailed proposals including material costs, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes
- Assist in project management activities by providing cost control insights throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of roofing materials, industry standards, and market pricing trends
- Support bid submission processes ensuring timely and competitive proposals
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, specifically within roofing or related construction fields
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and suppliers
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in preparing estimates and documentation
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Prior experience in project management within the construction industry is a plus
Pay: $41,910.13-$114,785.40 per year
