GK Electric Ltd. is an electrical and construction company based in British Columbia. We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This role is ideal for a certified electrician who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, works well independently and as part of a team, and is committed to maintaining safe and efficient job sites.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Ensure all work complies with WorkSafeBC regulations, BC Electrical Code, and CSA standards
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems
- Support and mentor apprentices as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress
Skills
- Certified Journeyman Electrician (Red Seal preferred or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and BC Electrical Code
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
