Verkhovets Law is an established law firm specializing in Plaintiff personal injury litigation. We are seeking an experienced Senior Law Clerk/Legal Assistant with 3-5 years of experience in personal injury to work on tort matters.
The successful candidate must be motivated and experienced in personal injury and be able to work as part of a team in a professional environment.
Education & Qualifications
- College diploma in Law Clerk Program or Paralegal Program
- Knowledge of the tort
- Knowledge of the timelines under the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Knowledge of the court forms as per the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage high volume of files
- Knowledge of accident benefits is a plus
Job Duties
- Requesting productions
- Drafting and preparing correspondence to opposing counsel, insurance companies and clients
- Managing and satisfying undertakings
- Scheduling Examinations for Discoveries, Mediations, client calls and settlement calls in a timely manner
- Drafting and submitting AODs, NOEs, etc.
- Preparing Mediation Briefs, Pre-Trial Briefs, Document Briefs
- Corresponding with insurers and other law firms
- File management

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere
- Exceptional administrative, organizational, analytical and time management skills
- Excellent work ethics and a strong attention to detail
- Advanced writing skills to prepare legal correspondence and complete form
- Excellent oral and communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
