Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate flow of materials within a manufacturing environment. This role manages day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory control, storage, material movement, and shipping coordination.
Acting as a key point of coordination between operational teams, the supervisor ensures material availability, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports overall operational efficiency.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance daily execution with process improvement and team development in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control
Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping preparation
Maintain inventory accuracy through regular counts and system updates
Ensure warehouse organization, safety, and efficient use of space
Monitor material flow to support operational needs
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
2. Shipping & Receiving
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
Ensure accuracy and proper documentation of all movements
Work with internal and external partners to meet delivery timelines
Monitor order preparation and shipping priorities
3. Team Leadership
Supervise, coach, and support warehouse staff
Assign daily tasks and manage workloads
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Ensure proper training on processes, safety, and equipment
4. Process Improvement
Identify and implement improvements to warehouse operations
Support the use of inventory and warehouse management systems
Track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs)
Contribute to the development of scalable processes
5. Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate records and traceability where required
Support audits and corrective actions
Promote safe working practices
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with internal teams to align priorities and ensure smooth operations
Support planning, procurement, production, and quality-related activities as needed
Qualifications
Relevant education or experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain
3–5 years of experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments
Previous supervisory experience
Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems preferred
Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory practices
