Midwest Industrial Services provides hydrovacing, directional drilling, above and below ground fiber installation and related services to telecommunication utilities, pipelines, and other industries across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. We are looking to add an administrative assistant to our team! We’re looking for someone who lives in SE Sask, who likes working outside, has a positive attitude, is physically fit, and enjoys travelling. This is a variable position that will offer lots of experience in different areas of residential construction from public relations and office work, to labour management and inspections. All training will be provided to the proper candidate. This position is based in SE Saskatchewan. Applicants but be living or relocating to SE Saskatchewan.
General Work Details
- Wage: $18-28 per hour, depending on experience
- Flexible Schedule - however travel is required to our various work sites. Travel can be provided.
- Position can be full-time or part-time.
General Requirements & Expectations
- No previous work experience is required, but great organizational skills and good math skills will benefit you in this position.
- A valid class 5 Driver’s License and a driver’s abstract from within the last 3 months is required for this position.
- All applicants must provide and pass a pre-employment criminal record check.
- Applicants must be able to pass alcohol and drug tests.
- Employees are required to maintain a safe work environment and wear proper PPE at all times while on the job.
- Clear communication is key to safety and is required on all of our job sites as well as maintaining and promoting positive, professional behaviour.
Job Description
This isn’t your typical desk job! The Site Office Assistants participate in all facets of the residential site work by helping collect and organize logs and safety forms, picking and delivering materials between work sites, picking up parts, inspecting crew work, and more. The day-to-day work of the Site Office Assistants are rarely the same. You’ll be working in and around our various communities in SE Sask, interacting with the residents, Town staff, and subcontractors as we work to complete infrastructure projects.
Often work will include walking for multiple hours a day outdoors, lifting heavy items, organizing various materials, and maintaining the shop and office tidiness. Because of this, applicants must be physically fit and have a strong willingness to work.
