Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled line cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a line cook, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, and leading the culinary team.
Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative recipes.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food safety compliance, and cleanliness.
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor food costs and assist in maintaining budgetary goals while minimizing waste.
- Maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and creativity among kitchen staff.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation within a professional kitchen setting.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience in leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Background in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred.
- Knowledge of food service operations, including safety regulations and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with bartending is a plus but not required.
- Must be Legally Entitled to work in Canada
