Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery and a strong understanding of excavation processes. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall success of our construction operations.
Duties
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and paving.
- Execute horizontal drilling and backhoe operations as required for various projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure work aligns with project specifications.
- Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Assist in building foundations, trenches, and other structures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation, particularly excavators, bulldozers, graders, and backhoes.
- Experience with commercial driving is a plus.
- Ability to perform horizontal drilling tasks efficiently.
- Strong understanding of excavation techniques and safety practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.
