SMT Research Ltd, creates solution sets that are used for electronic leak detection and building envelope monitoring. We utilize near real-time sensor analysis and remote data collection to allow Engineers, Architects, Building Owners and Researchers to validate designs, materials, and methods, producing more efficient and durable buildings. We assist in shrinking environmental impacts by reducing the frequency of unnecessary roof repairs, by providing quality assurance throughout the construction and restoration process.
We are seeking a Technical Salesforce Administrator who will maintain our Salesforce environment, build custom programmatic automations, and manage technical data integrations across our core business platforms.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and Engineering Manager you will be coordinating your tasks with core company departments: Construction Operations, Engineering, Production, and Administrative.
- User & Security Management: Create and manage user accounts, roles, profiles, security settings, sharing models and permission sets.
- Configure, build, and optimize flows, approval processes, validation rules, lightning record pages, and custom objects.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics that drive decision-making for operations, sales and production teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Programmatic Development: Develop and maintain light programmatic customizations using Apex (classes, triggers, test classes), SOQL, and basic Lightning Web Components (LWC) when declarative tools reach their limits.
- Own integration touchpoints between Salesforce, QuickBooks and other internal systems; partner with teams on design, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain data integrity through regular audits, deduplication, and data-quality monitoring.
- Act as the primary supportive point of contact for company users; provide training, build knowledge-base content, and support adoption.
- System Optimization: Proactively identify and implement improvements within Salesforce to enhance user experience and data integrity.
- Data Management: Oversee data quality, conduct regular data clean-up, and ensure accurate record-keeping within Salesforce.
- Partner with team and act as Business Analysts on larger initiatives, owning the Salesforce workstream end-to-end.
- Stay current on Salesforce platform releases) and proactively surface relevant capabilities to the team and business.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Salesforce Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration and configuration experience in an enterprise environment. Strong proficiency in building advanced flows, automations, custom objects, validation rules, reports, and dashboards.
- Developing Abilities: Hands-on capability or foundational professional experience with Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). Must be comfortable reading, writing, and troubleshooting light custom code.
- Proven, hands-on experience utilizing Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio.
- Experience in the Construction industry will be an asset.
- Experience with AI automation and system integrations.
- Data & CRM Architecture: Solid understanding of CRM design patterns, marketing automation, data model design, and data governance to ensure data integrity and seamless system integration (e.g., Salesforce to QuickBooks).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong communication skills with a track record of partnering across departments (Operations, Sales, Production, and Marketing) to act as a primary support point, drive user adoption, and conduct training.
- Autonomy & Drive: A self-directed operator who proactively identifies system improvements and data clean-up needs without prompting. (Be prepared to share specific examples during the interview).
Preferred Skills & Assets
- Advanced Certifications: Advanced Administrator (CRT-211), Platform App Builder, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator, or Marketing Cloud Consultant/Developer.
- Integration Tools: Experience with data integration tools such as MuleSoft, Marketing Cloud Connect, or similar middleware.
- Domain Knowledge: A background in marketing or extensive experience directly collaborating with marketing teams.

Compensation: $70-$90K per year plus bonuses based on the experience and performance.
