Reporting to the Director, Product Planning and Delivery – ERP Modernization, the Senior Solution Architect – Data is responsible for architecture, design, and delivery of large, complex, strategic, and enterprise-level solutions that meet Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries’ (MBLL) business plans objectives. Working collaboratively with Enterprise and Business Solution Architecture, the Senior Solution Architect provides technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level including providing guidance and advice to Solution Architects. This position is responsible for the data architecture, design, governance, and delivery of enterprise data solutions, ensuring that MBLL applications including ERP program data structures, integrations, and information workflows are trusted, well-managed, secure, and aligned with MBLL’s data governance and enterprise architecture standards.
The primary focus for this position will be to design ERP data architectures, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Define ERP master data management (MDM), governance and data quality frameworks as well as research and recommend modern data-platform technologies, establish architecture for data lineage, metadata management, and data integration across ERP modules and downstream MBLL systems. They will oversee the data migration architecture, ensuring traceability, cleansing approaches, reconciliation, and quality controls are in place and define patterns and standards for APIbased, ETL/ELT, and event-driven data integrations supporting ERP and analytics. This position is tied to a defined, multi-year ERP modernization project with clear outcomes and will enable trusted data that reduces downstream processes through transparent decision making and collaboration with business and technical partners.
