McCarthy’s Roofing is a trusted name in commercial and residential roofing, known for quality workmanship, safety, and service. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our accounting team.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Controller, this role is well suited for someone who is organized, analytical, and motivated to support the continued growth of the business. If you enjoy turning accurate financial data into meaningful insight and value strong financial controls, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Complete the weekly Hourly and Staff Payroll including review, reconcilation, and posting
- Support the in-house AP process to ensure timely and accurate processing of AP Payments and Supplier Statement reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the monthly close process and internal reporting
- Support the Controller with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be an asset
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience; Co-Op work experience is an asset.
- Interest in pursuing or enrollment in the CPA program would be an asset
- Experience with ERP Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft 365 suite of applications.
