Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team to work in various locations in Northern Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in repairing and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical background, proficiency with various tools, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems to ensure optimal operational performance. The Heavy Duty Mechanic will play a vital role in supporting our operations by providing expert maintenance and repair services on-site.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs utilizing schematics and technical manuals
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with assembly, disassembly, and installation of industrial equipment
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before failures occur
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Support customer service efforts by providing technical advice and updates on repair status
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy-duty machinery and industrial equipment
- Skilled in welding, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly
- Familiarity with schematics, automotive repair techniques, and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment as needed
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures for industrial machinery
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently
- Prior experience working in remote or northern environments is an asset

Pay: $50.00-$70.00 per hour
