Tuya Construction Ltd. In Chilliwack is currently looking for a Class 3 Water Truck Driver. The following are some of, but not limited to, the job requirements, abilities and understandings:
- A minimum of 2 year experience operating a Water Truck (preferably in Civil Construction)
- Valid Class 1 or 3 License - Drivers Abstract is Required
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving
- Responsibilities:
- Driving to required sites to do plant maintenance/Irrigation
- Operate equipment safely at all times
- Maintain Equipment in working order
- Labour where needed
- Confidently operate equipment
- Ability to work as a team member and equally motivated to work independently
- Flexibility to work on different sites, different crews and different hours
- Follow instructions of Foreman/Superintendant
- Conduct pre-shift / post-shift walk-around safety inspections
- Actively participate in toolbox meetings
- Log and report any maintenance concerns with the truck
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team membersSkills and Knowledge

Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures including but not limited to backing up procedures, use of spotters, signage, incident reporting
Knowledge of Water Truck operation, cleaning and maintenance requirements
Work Environment:
- Work outdoors in all seasons
- Work near traffic
- Exposure to loud noises
- Compensation:
Wage will be based on knowledge, skill, and experience
Extended benefits after a 3 month period
