Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Line Cook/Dishwasher to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining smooth kitchen operations by preparing food items, ensuring cleanliness, and supporting the overall food service process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong attention to food safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to restaurant standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently for cooking and food handling
- Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and kitchen surfaces through proper dishwashing procedures
- Support the kitchen team with basic cooking tasks as needed
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during meal preparation and handling
- Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist in serving customers when required, providing friendly and professional service
- Follow sanitation guidelines to uphold hygiene standards in all areas of food handling and preparation
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety practices is advantageous
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards is a plus
- Experience with meal preparation and serving in the food industry will help ensure success in this role
