Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our Papa John’s location in <LOCATION>. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves supervising staff, managing store functions, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our customers. The Store Assistant Manager will play a vital part in maintaining the store’s efficiency, profitability, and positive work environment.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory management to optimize sales
- Handle cashiering duties using POS systems and ensure accurate cash handling and bookkeeping
- Recruit, train, and develop staff through effective training & development programs
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth store functioning
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies at all times
- Foster a positive team environment through leadership, communication skills, and conflict resolution
Experience
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail sales or food service environments
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated team management capabilities
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and inventory control
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing, and sales management
- Ability to effectively recruit, interview, and develop staff members
- Organizational skills with proficiency in time management and administrative tasks
- Background in budgeting, payroll processing, training & development, and store management is preferred
- Prior experience in customer service roles with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
