Dish Washer - Weekend
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Weekend Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are properly cleaned and ready for use. The ideal candidate will support the overall efficiency of our restaurant operations by providing timely and thorough dishwashing services, contributing to a smooth and welcoming dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and cleaning work areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Manage the disposal of waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies
- Support the kitchen staff during busy periods by providing additional assistance with basic food handling and prep tasks
- Ensure all dishes are stored correctly after cleaning to prevent contamination or damage
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks comfortably
- Flexibility to work weekends and specific shifts as scheduled
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations is a plus but not mandatory
