Job Summary
CCL - SLEEVER International, is looking for a Maintenance Technician. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance technician ensures the safe and efficient operation of all production and facility equipment by means of installation, refurbishing, maintaining or repairs. Must be able to access recommend, construct and install equipment to complement current machinery and/or process.
As Maintenance Technician you will:
· Perform electrical & mechanical repairs to production and facility equipment completely, competently and expeditiously.
· maintain a clean and orderly maintenance shop, compressor room and HVAC.
· Responsible for maintaining inventory of spare parts required for equipment.
· Report to Maintenance Manager as quickly as possible, of any insufficient inventory levels of parts and supplies needed to repair equipment
· Follow and maintain the preventive maintenance plan.
· Communicate with other maintenance staff on current maintenance issues to ensure equipment is operable.
· Ensures all safety rules and regulations are followed by means of The Sleever International Inc. Health & Safety Manual and The Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
· Perform preventive maintenance as dictated by schedule and keep an accurate record of the same.
· Be available for emergency repairs during off shift hours.
· Knowledge of all procedures, products and practices pertaining to the maintenance department and plant general equipment
· Assist all outside contractors working within our premises
To be successful in this role:
· Excellent communication skills. Must be motivated, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
· Solid academic background (College/ University in electrical or mechanical or HVAC an asset)
· Two years of experience in a similar role, preferably within packaging is considered an asset
· Must be mechanically and electronically inclined
· Must be available to work rotation shifts (morning/afternoon) and some weekends if necessary

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
