Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the wood-fired pizza oven to ensure optimal cooking conditions.
- Prepare fresh pizza dough, toppings, and ingredients according to established recipes and standards.
- Assemble and cook pizzas with precision, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to achieve perfect crusts and toppings.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, portioning, and organizing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, including the oven and workstations.
- Adhere to food safety protocols and proper handling procedures at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy periods.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or similar environment.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques specific to pizza making, including dough handling and topping assembly.
- Ability to operate a wood-fired pizza oven safely and efficiently.
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure consistent quality of each pizza prepared.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
