Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate the POS system efficiently to process customer orders accurately
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and ingredients
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and transactions
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Ability to operate cash registers and perform cashiering duties accurately
- Knowledge of food handling practices is essential
